Plum Jasper Bracelet

Plum Blossom Jasper, also known as Plum Blossom Jade and Ru Jade, is a volcanic rock known as an amygdaloidal andesite, which occurs when the voids left by gas bubbles in the solidifying magma are later filled with other minerals. This stone crystallizes in massive formations and contains multiple inclusions of minerals such as Zeolites, Feldspars, Epidote, Quartz, Calcites, and Garnet. The name comes from the color similarity to that of a blossoming plum tree, and the more unusual name, Ru Jade, is a nickname for the city where this mineral is mined, Ruyang, China. Plum Blossom Jade is very unique and can look different from other locations all over the world. Most of the material extracted has a black matrix, although it can be grey and white, with inclusions of crystals that range in color from white to green, red, orange, and yellow. The most active deposit is in China, but can also be found in Madagascar and South Africa.
